Dear Mr. Dane Cook,
My name is Ciara, and I am one of your biggest fans. I have lived in Florida my entire life, which means yes I’m a “cracker” and yes that means I’ve been to Disney World more times than I can count, but that’s what we Floridians do, we hang out at Disney. Mickey Mouse is our best friend. And when we’re not at Disney World, most of us are at school. I happen to be a sophomore at Central High School, in a small town named Brooksville, which is an awesome school. I’m very attached to it as there have been many firsts for me there: my first boyfriend, that lead to my first kiss, and that mead to my first and hopefully last time getting cheated on. Well, nobody said all firsts were going to be great. For me, I just grinned and bared it. Speaking of school, while I was online one day I came across a quote of yours that said “In school I was pretty quiet kind of shy until my junior year. But at home I was a freak.” That quote reminds me of myself. If I’m not around someone I’m comfortable with, I’m really quiet, but as soon as I’m with my family and friends I am that annoying loud person who never stops talking, and the person who randomly starts to sing in the middle of a conversation.
You are the kind of person who can make anyone laugh. I fell in love with your routines the very first moment I watched one of your acts. The first act I heard was the “Drowning Sucks” routine. My friend actually sent me the link to the video, so I guess I have to thank for getting me hooked. I couldn’t stop laughing for like four days after I heard it, that’s when I knew I had to hear more of you, and sure enough, the skits were just as funny if not funnier. Every day I find a way to put one of your jokes into one of my daily conversations. I know it’s a weird of me to do that, but you are amazing and I want everyone to know it.
You really are an inspiration to me and an immense amount of other people. I consider you a hero in my book because without you and your comedy acts I know a lot of people, including myself, would be bored out of their minds with nothing to do. I’d love to meet you in person one day; I bet you are a really cool person. Just knowing you took the time to read my letter would make me so happy.
SU-FI!, Ciara.
