If I named them all

Dear Dane,

You are the funniest person I can think of. I love watching all your videos on Youtube. I love the Superpowers, Burger King, and When a Stranger Calls. But there are way more. If I named them all, I wouldn’t have enough room to write them all. I don’t think anyone is funnier than you. I also love your move, Employee of the Month. I haven’t seen it for a while but it is hilarious.

From your fan,
Jackson

Allergic reactions

Dear Mr. Dane Cook,

My name is Annie Wilhelm and I am sixteen years old. I am a huge fan of yours! (although not to be confused I am not a huge person) I thought you were hilarious in Dan in Real Life. I also love your standup shows. I was going to see you once here in Minnesota but unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to something at the restaurant before the show and I had to go to the hospital instead of your show. Maybe I can go next time you are here! Have a wonderful career!

Sincerely,
Annie Wilhelm

You are my favorite comedian!

Dear Dane Cook,

I am so excited I am writing to you! Me and my friend love listening to your awesome jokes! I picked you to write for my school project. My name is Brianna Breedlove, and I am in 6th grade at LaMuth Middle School. You are my favorite comedian! I’m always excited to listen to you.

What made you want to become a comedian? What is you favorite joke you have ever told? Do you ever freeze up when you tell jokes in front of a huge audience? One of my favorite jokes of yours is Kool-Aide man. I listen to it almost every day, along with a lot of other jokes.

Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read my letter. I was so happy that I was able to write to you!

Sincerely,
Brianna Breedlove

From your words

Dear Dane Cook,

Hi my name is Nic. I am a 7th grade student from Holmen, Wisconsin. For my keyboarding class we have to write a letter to our favorite actor and you were my first choice. The ways you inspired me is you make me laugh when I am down because I recorded some of your talk shows on my ipod.

I love all of your movies. I will tell you some of my favorites. Dan in Real Life, Employee of the Month, and my personal favorite Good Luck Chuck. From your words you made me make other people laugh. My favorite talk show is the one about your brother and you working at Burger King, it is hilarious.

I have a question for you I was wondering if you were scared on your first talk show. Because I might be a comedian when I get older.

Sincerely,
Nic Scheckel

At home I was a freak

Dear Mr. Dane Cook,

My name is Ciara, and I am one of your biggest fans. I have lived in Florida my entire life, which means yes I’m a “cracker” and yes that means I’ve been to Disney World more times than I can count, but that’s what we Floridians do, we hang out at Disney. Mickey Mouse is our best friend. And when we’re not at Disney World, most of us are at school. I happen to be a sophomore at Central High School, in a small town named Brooksville, which is an awesome school. I’m very attached to it as there have been many firsts for me there: my first boyfriend, that lead to my first kiss, and that mead to my first and hopefully last time getting cheated on. Well, nobody said all firsts were going to be great. For me, I just grinned and bared it. Speaking of school, while I was online one day I came across a quote of yours that said “In school I was pretty quiet kind of shy until my junior year. But at home I was a freak.” That quote reminds me of myself. If I’m not around someone I’m comfortable with, I’m really quiet, but as soon as I’m with my family and friends I am that annoying loud person who never stops talking, and the person who randomly starts to sing in the middle of a conversation.

You are the kind of person who can make anyone laugh. I fell in love with your routines the very first moment I watched one of your acts. The first act I heard was the “Drowning Sucks” routine. My friend actually sent me the link to the video, so I guess I have to thank for getting me hooked. I couldn’t stop laughing for like four days after I heard it, that’s when I knew I had to hear more of you, and sure enough, the skits were just as funny if not funnier. Every day I find a way to put one of your jokes into one of my daily conversations. I know it’s a weird of me to do that, but you are amazing and I want everyone to know it.

You really are an inspiration to me and an immense amount of other people. I consider you a hero in my book because without you and your comedy acts I know a lot of people, including myself, would be bored out of their minds with nothing to do. I’d love to meet you in person one day; I bet you are a really cool person. Just knowing you took the time to read my letter would make me so happy.

SU-FI!, Ciara.
