Quirky, different spins

Dear Dane,

I remember the first time I heard your first cd. It was a couple of years ago in the middle of summer, my cousin Chris was visiting from Chicago and insisted that I listen to you. At first I was a bit weary of the idea, because I wanted something other than sit and listen to someone talk, while I could be outside in the summer sun. At first, he played it, and there was a chuckle here and there. Then I gave in and let myself enjoy it. I didn’t care about what I might be missing outside. You were hilarious. You are hilarious.

The thing I like most about you is your uniqueness. You’re different. You turn everyday experiences into comical charades. Everything is so dramatic, so ridiculous. You really can make anything funny. I mean, who knew Kool-Aid, Burger King, or Nesquick could be so funny. Your wit is astounding, and what makes you so great is the way you say things: the expressions, the movements. I loved your act about saying, “bless you” to the guy who sneezed. I think perhaps the most comical thing about your performances is the quirky, different spins you put on words and names. You yell at the Kook-Aid guy, calling him a “beverage” and “glass bitch.” Also, the sound effects you can make are incredible. One of my favorites is the car alarm. You were great in Good Luck Chuck; even when you have minor roles like in Waiting, you really shine and make the movie what it is.

I saw you in Chicago for your latest tour and it was the best show I’ve been to. I enjoyed myself so much, and was laughing nonstop. You’re fun to watch and great to listen to. I enjoyed myself so much, and was laughing nonstop. You’re fun to watch and great to listen to. You definitely have proven your talent, and I hope you go on to make another cd, as well as act in more films.

Sincerely,
Megan Girsch
